"Bap" is a colloquial term used in British English to refer to a type of bread roll. It is similar to a burger bun, but smaller and denser, and often has a floury surface. In some parts of the UK, it is also known as a batch, barm cake, cob, or muffin. The word originated in the north of England and Scotland, but is now used more widely across the country.
